Conway Symphony Orchestra
In its 26 th year, the Conway Symphony Orchestra is a first-class professional orchestra. Coupled with familiar masterworks are some undiscovered musical gems, and holiday and park concerts. The Symphony performs at Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus
Dazzle Daze
Conway Regional Women’s Council’s annual fundraiser is a three-day shopping extravaganza. It features a variety of specialty shopping in one location for people of all ages. The event is held at the Don Owen Sports Complex located off I-40 and Hwy. 65.
Greater Arkansas Hard Working Vehicle Show
Come out to the First Annual Festival. There will be plenty of fun for all. Antique Trucks, RVs, Buses, Emergency Vehicles, and much more will be on display. Held September 17-18, 2005, at Agora Conference Center
Hendrix-Murphy Foundation Programs
Murphy Programs are designed to enhance and enrich the study and teaching of literature and language at Hendrix College. They do this by bringing eminent artists, scholars, poets, authors, theater directors and many others to Hendrix. Each year a theme is chosen and lectures, discussions, readings, and films will explore the theme from a variety of perspectives and in different genres. All events are open to the public and centered in the Bertie Wilson Murphy Building on the Hendrix campus.
Silver Moon Cinema
Enjoy a movie outside, on the big screen. Located in downtown Conway, one movie a month is shown from May to October. Along with pre-movie entertainment and food is a great night out on the town. Movies are free, but all donations go to charity.
Toad Suck Daze
Traditionally held in downtown Conway the first weekend in May, Toad Suck Daze will celebrate its 25 th year in 2006. The family oriented festival is free to the public, and attendance is over 150,000 every year. The festival boasts Arts & Crafts, Food, Local and National Entertainment, Toad Kids Zone, Carnival Rides, Tour de Toad bicycle race, Toad Jam Basketball tournament, Toad Run 5/10K, Toad Pageant, Business Expo, Stuck on a Truck, a Toad Store, and the World Famous Toad Races held in the Toad Dome!
UCA Public Appearances
Experience live, world-class performances through UCA Public Appearances, a division of the College of Fine Arts and Communication, held at Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Arkansas Campus. The impressive 2005-2006 roster of performers brings high quality artistic and educational events to the campus as well as providing enhanced learning and vibrant entertainment.
Baum Gallery of Fine Art
The Baum Gallery is a learning laboratory for visual arts and a cultural resource for the Central Arkansas area. In its 10 th year, it is one of the largest academic galleries in the state. The 4 gallery spaces host a range or international and national traveling shows, original exhibits curated by the gallery director and student exhibitions. It is on the University of Central Arkansas campus and is part of the College of Fine Arts.
Bobwhite Hill Ranch
Arkansas’ Premier Corporate Outing Center, Shotgun Sport Facility as well as a 3000 acre wildlife reserve. Centennial Valley Golf and Athletic Club
Centennial Valley offers a membership to a private club that includes an 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, restaurant, and workout facility. The Club is located off Tyler Street in West Conway
Conway Country Club
Conway Country Club offers membership to a private country club which features an 18-hole golf course. There is also four USTA approved tennis courts, three swimming pools, two dining options and a pro shop. The Club is located between Prince Street and College Avenue in West Conway.
Conway Family Bowl
Conway Family Bowl has lots to offer! With 24 lanes, automated scoring, snack bar, and low cost of admission Conway Family Bowl is a great place to spend your time. There are also many tournaments held at the location. The bowling alley is located on Hwy. 64 East, call 329-2638 for more information.
Conway Roller Rink
Conway Roller Rink is fun for the whole family. Not only is there a large skating floor with roller racers, there is an arcade area with games, pool tables and skeeball, and they boast the largest maze in the state. There is plenty to keep you are entertained! The roller rink is located on Hwy 64 East, call 329-9070 for more information.
Faulkner County Museum
The Faulkner County Museum helps preserve the storied past of Conway and Faulkner County. Reaching into the years of unrecorded history, when Native Americans hunted and fished in the area, the museum focuses on the range of environmental conditions in the county and how inhabitants adapted to changes. Materials arranged in a series of exhibits include historic and modern crafts, equipment, photographs and more. The museum is located at 801 Locust Ave in the historic old jail (1869) on the Faulkner County courthouse grounds.
Pickles Gap Village
In this quaint little village you will find a variety of shops, from gifts and souvenirs to music and antiques. There is kiddie land and Gina’s Jewel Restaurant and Pickle Barrel Fudge Factory. There is something for everyone at Pickles Gap Village. Located off Hwy. 65N, two miles from I-40.
