Overview of Public Schools

The Conway School District has four (K-4) elementary schools: Ellen Smith, Sallie Cone, Marguerite Vann, and Jim Stone.  Fifth and sixth grade students from these attendance zones are enrolled at Ruth Doyle Intermediate School which opened in the fall of 2004 and seventh and eighth students attend Carl Stuart Middle School .  There are four (K-5) elementary schools:  Florence Mattison, Ida Burns, Julia Lee Moore, and Theodore Jones. Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students from these attendance zones are enrolled at Bob Courtway Middle School .  Conway High School has two campuses: East Campus (9 -10), and West Campus (11 - 12).

The district also serves students and adults of Conway and surrounding districts through an Area Vocational Center located at the west high school campus complex. Basic literacy services, GED preparation, English as a Second Language, Even Start Family Literacy, WAGE Training, Computer and Vocational Skills training are offered at the Conway Adult Education Center.
