Arkansas River
The Arkansas River runs right outside Conway to the west. It is a great location for bass, crappie, catfish and brim fishing. It can be access at either Old Ferry Landing Park or Cadron Settlement Park.
Beaverfork Lake
Beaverfork Lake lies along the east side of Highway 25, north of the Conway city limits. Constructed in 1955 to be a supplemental water supply for Conway, the lake covers 900 acres. There is a boat ramp available for boating, fishing, and skiing. The park also has picnic and swimming areas.
Cadron Creek
Cadron Creek is located north of Greenbrier on Highway 65. It is a favorite central Arkansas float stream with numerous put in points and gentle floats.
Lake Bennett
Lake Bennett is located in the center of Woolly Hollow State Park. It is a popular recreation lake for swimming, boating, camping and picnicking. There are also canoes, pedal boats, fishing boats and motors available to rent.
Lake Conway
Lake Conway was built in 1951 by the Game & Fish Commission for recreational purposes. The lake covers approximately 6,700 acres and is the not only the largest body of water in Faulkner County, but is the largest man-made game and fish lake in the US. It has an average depth of 6 feet with a maximum of 18 feet. It is eight miles long and has 52 miles of shoreline. Because of its large size, central location and excellent fishing, it has been one of the state's favored fishing spots since it was built on Palarm Creek. Main access is from I-40 via Exit 135 at Mayflower.
